Two teens arrested after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and injured 2, Fresno cops say

Two teenagers were arrested Sunday night after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and injuring two people.

Police said the incident happened at 7:45 p.m. when officers saw a stolen vehicle. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but it took off and quickly turned down an alley near Belmont and Glenn avenues.

The driver of the vehicle, a 13-year-old boy, took off running and was apprehended. police said. Officers found a 13-year-old girl inside the stolen vehicle.

Both were taken into custody and arrested, police said.

Officers were investigating the collision when they discovered the stolen car hit the fence where two unhoused people were on the opposite side of the fence and struck by the vehicle, police said.

Both victims had a complaint of pain. One victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
