Multiple shots fired near Fresno park after two groups of teens get into argument, cops say

Multiple shots were fired near a park late afternoon Saturday in southeast Fresno.

Fresno Police responded around 3 p.m. of a shooting in the area of Trolley Creek Park, behind a Kings Canyon Road Walmart.

It was not immediately known if anyone was struck from the shooting with officers never finding any victims.

However, shell casings were found on the roadway that stretched along East Huntington and South Helm avenues.

In addition, a few parked vehicles were struck, Lt. Steve Card.

Police said two groups of teens got into an argument and exchanged gunfire.

Officers are looking for more evidence and witnesses.

Card said there were several people who fired shots. He added some bystanders and passerby left the area.

A resident told The Bee he had a family gathering when they heard shots.
