Man shot tries to drive himself to Fresno hospital. He instead causes a crash
A man who had been shot caused a crash Thursday night in northeast Fresno.
While information about the shooting involving the man was not immediately known, the collision happened around 9:40 p.m. in the area of Alluvial Avenue and Fresno Street.
According to Lt. Brian Valles, the man had a gunshot wound to his upper torso and was attempting to drive himself to a nearby hospital when he collided with a second vehicle at the intersection.
A good Samaritan stopped to help with the collision.
The victim with the gunshot wound asked the man to drive him to Saint Agnes hospital. The good Samaritan took the victim to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Valles said no one was injured in the collision. Officers are still investigating where the shooting took place.
