Update: Man shot in downtown Fresno. Accused shooter chased by police and arrested

One man was shot in downtown Fresno on Tuesday morning.

Tthe incident happened near Tuolumne and O streets around 11 a.m. when a man fired multiple rounds from inside his white truck, police said.

A victim was seen around 11:30 a.m. being taken from the scene by ambulance. Police said he was hit at least once with what is considered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responding in the area saw the truck speeding away and pursued the accused shooter to the Bank of America on Fresno and O streets, according to a department spokesperson.

He was arrested, police said.

The victim is believed to be transient or homeless, but that has not been confirmed, police said.
