84-year-old Fresno County inmate, charged with murdering wife, dies in hospice care
A 84-year-old inmate suspected of murdering his wife has died while in hospice care.
Kenneth Wright died Sunday at a sub-acute nursing facility, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Toni Botti said Monday.
Wright was in custody awaiting court proceeding for allegedly shooting his wife to death last year.
Wright was arrested March 14, 2019, at a home in the 6700 block of N. Del Rey Ave. east of Clovis for a report of a possible suicide. Arriving deputies found 77-year-old Maradee Wright dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Botti said that during the investigation detectives learned that Kenneth Wright was responsible for the shooting.
