Fresno man arrested after shoving gun into ex-girlfriend’s mouth, deputies say

An 18-year-old Fresno man was booked into Fresno County Jail on Thursday on suspicion of shoving a gun into his ex-girlfriend’s mouth, sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies said Perez met his ex-girlfriend around 1 p.m. in northwest Fresno and both were sitting in her car when they got into an argument. The dispute got heated, deputies said, and Perez allegedly shoved a gun into her mouth and threatened to kill her.

Perez took away her cellphone and ordered her to drive back to her house. She complied and both got out of the car when he hit her in the head several times, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim ran into the home and locked the door.

Perez left and was able to get a ride out of the area. Deputies stopped the car around 1:30 p.m. and found a loaded .45 caliber handgun inside.

Perez faces felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, robbery, illegally carrying a concealed weapon and making death threats. His bail was set at $105,000.

Anyone with additional information about Perez is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
