Man shot to death on Fresno street identified as former Edison High football player

Fresno police detectives continue to probe the death of former Edison High School wide receiver Jacaree Fisher, 19, who was shot to death Friday in southwest Fresno.

Lt. Larry Bowlan said that Fisher was walking near South Thorne and East Valencia avenues about 4:45 p.m. when a car passed by and someone fired shots, striking Fisher. He died from a gunshot wound to the upper body after he was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center.
