Woman found shot to death, man found in same Madera-area home with gunshot wound arrested
A woman was found shot to death and a man found wounded in the same home was arrested in the killing, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident happened Wednesday evening in a home on the 30000 block of Donald Avenue just east of Madera city limits.
The sheriff’s communication center received a call around 6:30 p.m. from a male who said his father was in the bathroom of the home covered in blood, the sheriff’s office announced Friday on its Facebook page.
When deputies arrived, they found Norma Lopez-Castillo, 42, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, and Francisco Ramirez, 54, with a gunshot wound.
Detectives are investigating how Ramirez suffered his gunshot wound.
He was taken to a hospital and arrested on suspicion of murder, the sheriff’s office said.
