Fresno teen shot directly in the mouth in central Fresno, police say
A 16-year-old boy was shot directly in the mouth Saturday in central Fresno, Fresno police said.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. behind the 7 Eleven convenience store near Fruit and Clinton avenues.
Police have no description of the suspect or what possibly led up to the shooting with no witnesses available and the victim currently unable to talk, Lt. Bill Dooley said.
The teen suffered a single gunshot to his upper jaw area, and is considered in critical but stable condition.
The 16-year-old managed to walk from behind the convenience store to the front parking lot area after he was shot to flag for help.
