Exeter police identify suspect in fatal shooting of man, 58

Exeter police Wednesday identified a suspect wanted in the Jan. 22 fatal shooting of 58-year-old Raymond Hernandez Sr.

Hernandez was shot about 8 p.m. near Filbert Road and Maple Street and died after he was rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

The suspect, Kevin Raul Esquivel-Barrera, is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and 160 pounds, with black hear and brown eyes. He has a tattoo reading “Alexis” on the right side of his face and another with three dots on the left side of his face. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Esquivel-Barrera’s whereabouts is asked to contact detective Paul Walker at 559-733-6218. Callers can remain anonymous. Anyone who sees the suspect should also call 911.
