Detectives search for ‘Balls’ and ‘La Niña’ after home invasion turns deadly

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who may be connected to a home invasion that ended in a man’s death in Lindsay.

Javier “Balls” Ibarra, 29, and Roman “La Niña” Salcedo, 19, both of Visalia, have been identified as people of interest, according to a news release.

On the night of Feb. 4, deputies found a man dead inside a home on the 22000 block of Avenue 256, according to the news release.

Homicide detectives say the man, as well as other suspects, had forced open the front door while yelling “sheriff’s office.”

The homeowner, who was home with a 13-year-old, allegedly shot the man dead. The suspects returned fire.

Anyone who knows where Ibarra or Salcedo may be, or has information about the case, is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
