Selma man killed in shooting identified. Police ask for help identifying at-large shooter

A man who was fatally shot in Selma last week was identified Friday as Jose Mosqueda, 39, of Selma and Parlier, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office announced.

The shooting was reported around 10:50 p.m. Feb. 12 on the 2700 block of Rose Avenue, Selma police said.

The department is asking for the public’s help to identify the unknown shooting suspect or suspects.

Video surveillance obtained by detectives from the area of the shooting show a truck fleeing the scene. It was described by police as a brown early 2000s GMC Sierra pickup with custom rims and LED highlights.

Officers found Mosqueda with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he died of his injuries.
