Slaying was ‘senseless act of violence.’ Fresno police seek help finding murder suspect

Fresno police Thursday asked for help making an arrest in an “unprovoked and senseless act of violence” in central Fresno after a man was shot and killed by a gunman firing from a car.

The homicide took place Monday afternoon as Quincy Twinn, 23, was returning home from a store when he was shot near the 4000 block of North Fruit Avenue.

Twinn died Monday night at Community Regional edical Center.

The victim was in the passenger seat of a car driven by a relative when a light-colored car drove alongside and someone fired into the victim’s car, Lt. Larry Bowlan said.

The slaying was the 45th and last of 2019 in Fresno.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867, where a reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
