Police seek driver involved in hit-and-run that killed 70-year-old man in Selma
Selma police are looking for the driver of a dark, four-door sedan that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
A 70-year-old man was found Wednesday night near the intersection of Floral and Highland avenues. The man, identified Tuesday afternoon as Leandro Badillo of Selma, was unresponsive and pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Selma Police Department.
It appears that the victim was not hit in the intersection, but had been dragged by the suspect car before the driver fled the scene.
Detectives are following up with witnesses and checking video from surrounding businesses.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Alejandro Alvarez at the Selma Police department at 559-896-2525.
