ORIGINAL STORY: An 81-year-old woman was shot and killed by her husband in Coalinga on Friday, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Coalinga police found the woman in a home on the 300 block of Jefferson Street around 10:30 a.m.
She had a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, said sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti.
Her 84-year-old husband, Clarence Kozlowski, has been booked into jail on suspicion of murder, and sheriff’s office detectives have taken over the investigation.
The woman’s name is not being released at this time, Botti said.
This is the second homicide of the year in Coalinga, according to Botti. A man was killed in a gang-related shooting in August.
