Police found Beasley lying on the sidewalk in front of a nearby Carl’s Jr. with wounds to his upper torso. He died at Community Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses said Beasley had entered the restaurant but was not able to pay for his food and and left, heading into an alley across the street. Witnesses said they heard a scream from the alley and that Beasley returned to the restaurant and collapsed on the sidewalk.

The fatal stabbing was the 52nd homicide in Fresno this year.
