A Bakersfield man killed in a single-vehicle crash on July 3 in Tulare County has been identified by the Coroner’s Office as 32-year-old Tyler Raper.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which was reported at about 3:10 a.m. and involved a Toyota pickup truck on State Route 43 south of Corcoran.

Raper was driving on State Route 43, north of Avenue 112, when the Toyota went off the road, overturning onto the shoulder.

CHP said Raper was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors, the CHP said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information regarding it can contact the CHP Visalia Area at 559-839-2810.
