Motorcyclist killed in Tulare County solo crash ID’d by coroner

A Porterville motorcyclist was killed in a solo-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Tulare County.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which was reported at 8:03 p.m. near Avenue 176 and Road 276 outside of Strathmore.

The motorcyclist, identified by the county Coroner’s Office as Joshua James Gonzales, 35, was riding a 2024 Harley-Davidson west on Avenue 176, just east of Road 276. The motorcycle went off the road and struck a fence.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision remains under investigation, and alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, the CHP said.
