A man was killed in an ATV crash Saturday outside of Hanford, the California Highway Patrol said.

It was the second solo ATV fatal crash in less than a week in Kings County.

The crash, reported at 10:11 p.m., happened five days after a man died when he was thrown from an ATV during a crash outside of Corcoran.

According to the CHP, the man killed Saturday was riding a 1991 Honda ATV vehicle west within a dry riverbed near State Route 43 and Denver Avenue. He lost control of the ATV and was ejected as it overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It has not been determined if alcohol or drug use contributed to the crash, the CHP said. The collision remains under investigation.

The identity, age, and city of residence of the driver were not released as of Monday.
