When will new ‘Endless River’ at Wild Water in Clovis open? Here’s the latest

The anticipated debut of the new lazy river at Wild Water Adventure remains on hold for two weeks and counting.

But it’s possible that the “Endless River” — the newest attraction at the popular Clovis water park could be open by this weekend — according to Wild Water Adventure Park general manager Jimmy Holmes.

“Comes down to small details and needing to get approval.”

Another inspection was set for Thursday.

Wild Water Adventure had hoped to have its endless river completed and open by Memorial Day weekend when the park first opened for the 2026 season.

But, Holmes said, delays in the inspection and meeting inspection requirements have pushed back the from opening.

This week, Wild Water Adventure started its summer schedule of being open every day (11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday).

The lazy river itself, Holmes said, “is ready to go.” But there were certain walkways and grading issues (reshaping and leveling the ground) near the area that needed to be addressed.

“It’s been a massive project,” Holmes said. “We are as excited as everyone to get this open. The river looks great. We just got a few minor items to take care of.

“We’ll be ready to open up soon.”

Measuring roughly 1,000 linear feet, as well as 14 feet wide and 30 to 66 inches deep, the Endless River is the centerpiece of the newest area of the water park that Wild Water Adventure built this offseason.

Construction began in October. In addition, a beach area was built to help provide an entry to the river to go along with multiple access points. There also had been plans for food and drink stands along the lazy river.

The lazy river is Wild Water’s most significant addition since its wave pool in 1987.

Wild Water Adventure Park was founded in 1973.

The new “Lost River Adventure” at Wild Water Adventure Park is set to debut this summer, perhaps as early as this weekend. Construction to build the roughly 1,000 linear foot of lazy river began in October. Delays in meeting inspection stands has held up the river from opening at the start of the water park’s season.
