The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the woman who was killed after her car crashed into a building in downtown Fresno on Thursday as 32-year-old Cassidy White.

Police said the incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. at Ventura Avenue and R Street.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Ventura when it veered off the road and hit the side of the Factory 41 building, where The Fresno Bee and other businesses operate.

White, the driver, died after being taken to the hospital, police said.
