Hanford police said the shooting was reported at 3:35 a.m. Monday at the 500 block of Northstar Drive following reports of a man and woman involved in an argument and possible gunshots coming from the area.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman with a least one gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the Adventist Health Hanford hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives secured the crime scene and located evidence of a struggle and shooting, police said.

The identity or age of the victim has not been released. No suspects have been arrested, police said.
