A pedestrian who was running into traffic on Monday before he was struck by a vehicle and killed was identified by the coroner.

He was 25-year-old Kenneth Bryant of Fresno.

Police said Bryant was running from the east side of Clovis Avenue, across the lanes of traffic near Cesar Chavez Boulevard. As he continued, a vehicle in the No. 1 lane that was going southbound on Clovis struck him.

Officers arrived just after 5 p.m. and found Bryant critically injured before he was pronounced dead.

The driver remained on scene and was cooperative.
