Latest for Clovis shopping center construction includes 3 big chains ready to move in
The latest phase of the newest shopping center in Clovis is taking shape with exterior construction nearing completion for at least 10 more businesses.
Located at the southwest corner of Leonard and Shaw avenues in the growing area of east Clovis, the Loma Vista Marketplace is set to expand to 130,000 square feet for lease, including room for three large retail chains.
Ulta Beauty, Tractor Supply and Grocery Outlet all are expected to move into the Loma Vista Marketplace in the coming months, according to sources.
In fact, about 95% of the spots for lease have been tentatively agreed upon, according to Rachael Orlando, a commercial retail broker who’s helping oversee the Loma Vista Marketplace.
Orlando declined to name specific businesses set to move in.
But according to sources, other businesses that are expected to come to the Loma Vista Marketplace are:
- Five Below
- Jamba Juice
- Panda Express
- Press Box (dine-in restaurant)
- Teaspoon (Boba tea)
- WaBa Grill (Asian-inspired foods)
- Wash Boss (car wash)
“This is a neighborhood shopping center, intended especially for those in the Loma Vista area,” Orlando said. “When we’re looking at tenants, you look at what likely would be the daily needs of a consumer at a grocery shopping center and what offers convenience.
“We looked for the best tenants in the market that can fulfill those needs and were looking to expand in the market.”
The new businesses coming to Loma Vista Marketplace are expected to open in early to mid-2026, according to Orlando.
The Loma Vista Marketplace, part of the city of Clovis’ Loma Vista Community Center master place, has had businesses operating there for roughly one year.
Currently, there are 14 businesses open:
- Brighten Academy
- Chipotle
- Chloe Nails & Spa
- Donut Palace
- Dutch Bros
- European Wax
- Hot Works
- Jersey Mike’s
- McDonald’s
- Me and Ed’s
- Menchie’s
- UPS store
- Wing Stop
- Zen Relaxing Spa
“It is exciting to see new stores, restaurants, and most importantly shoppers, taking advantage of all that The Loma Vista Marketplace has to offer,” said Chad McCollum, the City of Clovis’ Economic Development, Housing and Communications Director. “The development provides much needed commercial and retail services for the residents who call Loma Vista home.
“While there are many businesses already operating in the Marketplace, the center will see significant improvements in the coming months and years as additional businesses complete construction, move in, and begin serving the community. “
Orlando said she’s heard the current businesses at Loma Vista Marketplace are doing well, which is a positive sign not only for the new business that are on tap to move in but also for future commercial development.
“Retail begets retail,” Orlando said. “With phase No. 1 (initial 14 businesses) opening and doing well, and phase No. 2 coming in, other stores and businesses will want to come here.”
