Paris Baguette is opening first Fresno bake shop. Here’s when — and what’s on the menu
French-inspired bakery chain Paris Baguette is opening its first location in Fresno.
The bake shop will have its soft opening at 7959 North Blackstone Ave. in the Villagio shopping center on Saturday, March 22.
The event will run from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“We are really excited to bring fresh pastries to Fresno,” said Christina Smith, general manager of Paris Baguette in Fresno. “We’re making stuff daily.”
What is Paris Baguette?
Paris Baguette is a French-inspired bakery company with South Korean roots.
According to its website, Paris Baguette opened its first café in the United States in 2005 in Los Angeles.
The company now has more than 180 locations across the country, with plans to have 1,000 locations open in the United States by 2030.
“Paris Baguette’s primary mission is to provide guests with a warm, welcoming bakery café experience that creates joy for all,” the company said on its website.
Why open a new bakery in Fresno?
Nikki Tulyag, who owns Paris Baguette in Fresno with her husband, Anvar, said she first encountered the brand in the Bay Area.
“We were looking for a breakfast place to eat,” Nikki Tulyag previously told The Fresno Bee. “I went in, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I want one.’ Now, a couple years later, we are on our way. It’s very exciting, very exciting.“
Tulyag said she and her husband “wanted to open a Paris Baguette here in Fresno because that’s where our children grew up. It’s home for us.”
Paris Baguette originally planned to open its Blackstone Avenue store in February, but the bakery delayed its opening.
“Everybody was expecting us to open a month ago already,” Smith said.
The 3,100-square-foot bakery has about 40 employees.
What’s on the menu at Blackstone Avenue bake shop?
Paris Baguette’s menu includes cakes and pastries such as pain au chocolat, fruit pastries and cinnamon apple pies.
Smith said the apple pie, which pairs flaky crust with sweet apple cinnamon filling, is her favorite thing on the menu.
Tulyag’s favorite dessert is pineapple brulee, featuring a tasty pastry coated with crystal sugar, baked with custard cream and topped with brûléed pineapple.
“We do lots of flavorful fruit cakes,” Smith said, including special orders.
One customer favorite is the mixed berry soft cream cake, a vanilla cake with cream, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.
Don’t have a sweet tooth? Paris Baguette also has plenty of savory options, including the pepperoni pizzetta. Rich, flaky pastry is topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese pepperoni and shaved parmesan.
The smoked sausage bread, meanwhile, features a cream bun filled with smoked sausage and topped with mozzarella.
Other food options include salads, sandwiches, wraps and breakfast sandwiches.
Beverages on the bakery’s menu include lattes, capuccinos and espresso, as well as iced drinks and frappes.
What are food and drink prices?
At Paris Baguette, pastries range in price from $3 to $10, while drinks cost $3 to $7.
Cakes start at $35 and go up to $47. Each serves 10 people.
Salads range from $9 to $15 while sandwiches go from $12 to $18 wrap’s are priced at $12 and breakfast sandwiches are $5.49 each.
When is new store’s grand opening?
Paris Baguette plans to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, April 12. at noon
Store employees will hand out “buy one, get one free” coupons to visitors during the grand opening event, Smith said.

Paris Baguette in Fresno will be open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Where are other Paris Baguette locations in California?
Paris Baguette has 58 locations in California, mostly concentrated in the Bay Area and Southern California.
In the Sacramento area, the chain has bake shops in Roseville and Sacramento.
Tulyag and her husband plan to open another store at 6587 North Riverside Drive at Fresno’s Marketplace at El Paseo shopping center in either July or August.
