Fresno Yosemite International Airport is hosting an aviation job fair on Thursday, Oct. 17,

Several aviation-related companies and agencies are seeking employees, including the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, the city of Fresno and SkyWest Airlines.

When and where is Fresno aviation job fair?

The aviation job fair takes place 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the fourth floor of the Fresno Yosemite International Airport parking garage, 5175 East Clinton Way in Fresno.

Job seekers can explore both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, the airport said in a Facebook post promoting the event.

The event is free to attend with free parking.

What kind of positions are available?

The city of Fresno is hiring for several available jobs in the aviation field, including airport public safety supervisor, airport operations manager and airport planning manager.

Other job openings vary by employer.

What are salaries and benefits for airport jobs?

Salaries and benefits for aviation-related jobs vary.

According to the city of Fresno, the position of airport planning manager pays up to $11,554 per month, while the airport operations manager makes up to $10,503 monthly.

The city of Fresno provides a number of benefits for full-time employees, including life insurance, medical insurance, retirement plans and educational incentive pay, The Fresno Bee previously reported.

As of Oct 9, the average hourly pay for an aviation job in Fresno was $19.85 an hour, according to ZipRecruiter, a job posting website.

Salaries for aviation jobs can go up to $35 per hour, ZipRecruiter said.
