Child found in Clovis reunited with parents. ‘Best outcome we could have hoped for’

A 3-year-old boy wandered from him Clovis home while his parents slept Monday morning.

The boy was spotted by a driver at the intersection of Shaw and Leonard Avenues in Clovis just after 5 a.m.

He was barefoot and alone.

Clovis Police Department quickly sent out an alert on social media, asking for the public’s help in identifying the child. In the post, the boy is shown with long curly hair and wearing Spider-Man pajamas.

He has since been reunited with his parents, according to the department’s information officer Ty Wood.

“This is the best outcome that we could have hoped for.”

The parents woke up to find the front door open and the boy missing, Wood said. After searching the home, they immediately called the police department.

The boy is uninjured, Wood said, but is tired and has dirty feet.

Officers are working to be sure their was no negligence, before releasing the boy to his parents.
