A solo vehicle crash Sunday afternoon caused a power pole to come down in Fresno.

Police said the crash happened at Cedar and Shields avenues around 3:45 p.m. near the Walmart.

It’s unknown what led up the collision.

The driver, described to be a woman, was taken to a local hospital and her condition is not known, police said.

The Fresno Fire Department and PG&E crews responded to the scene for the downed power lines.

Traffic was being diverted in both directions because the power lines were low, police said.
