Coroner ID’s Fresno County woman killed in crash. Car, semi ended up in orchard

California Highway Patrol

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the driver who was killed in a crash Monday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash took place around 1:20 p.m.

An SUV failed to stop at a posted sign and was hit by a commercial semi-truck, which was traveling west on Kamm at Jameson Avenue and had the right-of-way, according to the CHP.

The crash damaged both vehicles and pushed them into an almond orchard, where the truck rolled on it side.

The driver of the SUV, identified by the coroner as 53-year-old Consuelo Cordova De Hernandez of Riverdale, died at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck had minor injures, the CHP said.
