A Fresno In-N-Out Burger restaurant known for long drive-thru lines and sometimes causing traffic has reopened after being closed for nearly two months.

And at least for the time being, it appears that the lines at the In-N-Out on Shaw Avenue near Highway 99 in northwest Fresno are shorter than before.

The restaurant had been closed since mid January to expand its parking lot and modify its drive-thru.

It’s unclear at the moment if the renovations fixed the congestion problems in the parking lot that spilled onto the roadway.

One reason the drive-thru line hasn’t been that long lately is possibly because people might not have realized the restaurant is back open, In-N-Out employees said.

Several In-N-Out Burger drive-thru lines in Fresno and Clovis are notorious for backing up and disrupting traffic.

The West Shaw location was ranked one of the most problematic drive-thrus in town in a Fresno Bee reader poll in 2021.

The restaurant itself was not remodeled.
