A bicyclist who was hit and killed by a vehicle near a busy Fresno intersection has been identified.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday said the bicyclist was 62-year-old Christina Molina of Fresno.

The collision happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29 when police said Molina was crossing Emerson Avenue, near West Avenue, against the flow of traffic.

Molina, police said, entered the intersection as the vehicles were in the process of turning onto West from Emerson when she was struck.

Molina was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
