Pedestrian dies after getting stuck by vehicle in southeast Fresno, police say
UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in collision with truck on Kings Canyon identified by Fresno coroner
A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday evening in southeast Fresno.
The collision, police said, happened at 7 p.m. at Kings Canyon Road and North Burgan Avenue, just east of Fowler Avenue.
Fresno police Lt. Zeb Price said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Kings Canyon, approaching Burgan when a pedestrian crossing the street was struck.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with officers.
It’s unknown if there was a marked crosswalk.
The age of victim is not known.
