Pedestrian killed in collision with truck on Kings Canyon identified by Fresno coroner
A pedestrian killed Friday when he was struck by a struck by a truck in southeast Fresno was identified Monday by the Fresno County Coroner.
The collision happened at 7 p.m. at Kings Canyon Road and North Burgan Avenue, just east of Fowler Avenue.
Fresno police reported a vehicle was traveling east=on Kings Canyon, approaching Burgan when Kirk Filgas, 41, was struck by the driver.
Filgas was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
