Body of man pulled from Clinton Avenue canal in Fresno, sheriff’s office says
UPDATE: Coroner identifies man found dead in Clinton Avenue canal in Fresno
A body was recovered from a central Fresno canal on Tuesday, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
The man’s body was reported about 11 a.m. in the canal south of Clinton Avenue west Millbrook Avenue, a sheriff’s spokesperson confirmed.
Little was known about the body and wouldn’t be available until the coroner finished the investigation, spokesperson Tony Botti said.
Around 12:10 p.m. he confirmed the body was a dead man.
Traffic in the area was not impacted, though some drivers were slowing as they passed the scene.
