Coroner names woman who drowned in a Fresno County canal early Sunday evening
A woman was identified by the Fresno County Coroner after she drowned in a canal on Sunday.
Nanci Richards, 52, was found in a canal when deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of North Hayes and Whitesbridge avenues around 6 p.m. about a person in the canal.
The sheriff’s swim and dive team recovered Richards from the canal.
