Fresno motorcycle rider killed in collision. The coroner identified the 39-year-old

A Fresno man was died at the scene of a motorcycle collision Tuesday evening.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified him as 39-year-old Ian Collins.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened at 10:50 p.m. on Auberry Road at Reno Avenue, two miles north of Copper Avenue.

Collins was said to be riding a Harley Davidson Dyna southbound on Auberry Road when he was unable to maintain his lane of travel, causing him to lose control. Collins laid down his motorcycle and was ejected, the CHP said.

Collins was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP said Collins was wearing a helmet.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said.

The investigation is ongoing.
