Worker killed after contacting electrical wires in Fresno County is ID’d by the coroner

The worker who died Wednesday morning when he was electrocuted near Parlier has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

Juan Ambriz, 37, of Fresno was killed shortly after 9 a.m. near the intersection of Bethel and Manning avenues.

Deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and PG&E workers were the first to arrive and initial reports were that Ambriz, in an elevated boom, may have made contact with electrical wires.

Parlier police took over the case.

Manning Avenue was shut down after the incident.
