Multi-car crash on Highway 41 backs up traffic in Fresno, CHP says. Two lanes blocked

A multi-car crash blocked two of three lanes on the northbound lanes of Highway 41 in Fresno on Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least four vehicles were involved in the crash near the center divider close to Shaw Avenue about 10:15 a.m., CHP said.

Two lanes were blocked by the crash, forcing drivers to merge to the left lane and backing up traffic, Caltrans video showed.

At least one of the cars was a Tesla, CHP said, and one of the cars was also smoking.

Traffic was backed up to McKinley Avenue as of 10:45 a.m., CHP said. Details on any potential injuries were not immediately available.
