Man, 25, killed in a three-vehicle collision in Kings County. He was from Fresno

A Fresno man was killed Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Kings County.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened just before 1 p.m. on Highway 43 just north of Grangeville Boulevard in the Hanford area.

CHP said the 25-year-old Fresno man was driving a Nissan on northbound Highway 43 at an unknown rate of speed. A driver in a Peterbilt was southbound Highway 43 and another driver was in a Chevrolet following the Peterbilt.

The Nissan veered to the right onto the dirt/gravel shoulder then overcorrected, sideswiping the Peterbilt then spinning into the path of the Chevrolet, CHP said.

The 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not clear if the other drivers sustained any injuries.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision, CHP said.
