Woman identified as victim in fatal collision near Central West campus in Fresno

A woman killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision in west Fresno was identified by the coroner Thursday.

Jenna Urena, 29, of Kerman was killed when she was the passenger in a Toyota Camry that was headed north on Jameson Aveue at an unknown speed and went through a stop sign and collided into the side of a GMC truck that was going west on McKinley Avenue.

Urena was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal crash happened around 12:15 p.m. near the Central West High School campus.

The driver of the Camry suffered minor to moderate injuries.

A man driving the truck went to the hospital with his family.
