Pedestrian walking into traffic killed after he was struck by car south of Fresno
A man on foot was struck and killed by the driver of a Toyota Corolla Monday night south of Fresno, the California Highway reported.
The collision took place at about 6 p.m. near Elm and North avenues. The CHP said the victim was walking south in the northbound lane of Elm when he was struck by the 38-year-old driver of the Toyota. The pedestrian was knocked to the roadway with critical injuries. He died at the scene.
The CHP was investigating late Monday.
