Roe v. Wade protesters gather in Fresno again to protest Supreme Court abortion ruling
About 300 people gathered in front of Fresno City Hall in triple-digit heat Tuesday for a second protest in Fresno against the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe vs Wade.
Taking turns with the bullhorn, speakers denounced the ruling and urged plans for change as most of the crowd gathered beneath the shade of the lone tree in front of city hall, with signs addressing women’s right to choose.
Women’s March Fresno organizers urged those gathered to keep hydrated, offering free bottles of water as temperatures hovered around 100 degrees.
One woman collapsed but was quickly attended to by police officers on standby across P Street. An ambulance attended to the woman before taking her away for medical attention.
The protest last two hours before ending peacefully.
