Update: Motorcyclist who rode off 200 foot cliff airlifted to hospital
A motorcyclist who rode off a cliff Sunday morning near Pine Flat Reservoir was airlifted to a hospital, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Rescue workers rushed to the scene after the crash was reported about 8:40 a.m. on Trimmer Springs Road north of Avocado Lake, according to the California Highway Patrol. There was no initial information from the CHP as to how the crash occurred.
In initial reports, the cliff was reported to be about 200 feet high and the crash scene was not visible from the roadway. The area is below Pine Flat Lake. The sheriff’s office did not have additional information about the extent of the rider’s injuries.
