‘Hamilton’ opens its Fresno run in two weeks. You can score $10 tickets starting Friday

Broadway in Fresno ends its 2021-2022 season this spring with an 11-day, 16-show run of the hit musical “Hamilton.”

Given the massive popularity and how well other popular musicals have done in town (“Wicked,” “Book of Mormon”), “Hamilton” should be well attended.

Tickets have been on sale since December, when producers warned buyers about the possibility of overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets.

As often is the case with these kinds of shows, producers are holding a limited number of tickets each night that they will make available for $10 through a lottery system. The ticket lottery opens 10 a.m. Friday and is good for the opening-week March 30 to April 3 performances. Additional lotteries will run each Fridays for the upcoming week’s performances for the duration of the run.

Each lottery is run through the official Hamilton app (available at Apple App and the Google Play stores) with winners announced on Thursdays through email and push notifications. Winners can purchase two tickets and have two hour to claim and pay.

·One entry per person is allowed. Repeat entries and/or disposable email addresses will be discarded, so don’t try.

Lottery tickets are non-transferable and will be void if resold.
