Want to see ‘Hamilton’ in Fresno? Here’s how to get tickets, and why buyers should beware
We’ve known for a year now that “Hamilton” was scheduled for an 11-day spring run at the Saroyan Theatre as part of Broadway in Fresno’s upcoming season.
We now have ticket information on the 16 scheduled shows.
Single tickets are on sale online at BroadwayinFresno.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, or in person at the Fresno Entertainment and Convention Center box office. Prices range from $49 to $149, with a select number of premium seats available from $199. There is a maximum purchase limit of nine tickets per account for the run.
Given the immense popularity of the Tony and Grammy award-winning musical, tickets are expected to sell well and quickly, and producers are warning buyers to double check that they are buying from legitimate sources.
“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can,” says producer Jeffrey Seller.
“There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Fresno engagement should be made through BroadwayinFresno.com or Ticketmaster.com.”
For those willing to wait and take a chance, each performance will have 40 seats available for $10 through a ticket lottery. The lottery is usually run through an app with tickets available on the day of each show.
“Hamilton” is the final show of Broadway in Fresno’s season. The musical “Waitress” has a two-day run Jan. 24 and 25, followed by “Anastasia,” Feb. 22 and 23.
