Fresno man, 21, is named as the motorcyclist killed in a northwest Fresno collision

A motorcycle rider killed after his bike collided with a pickup truck in northwest Fresno was identified on Sunday.

Fresno resident Noah Ruiz Hernandez, 21, died in the Saturday crash, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Cororner’s Office. It happened at 5 p.m. Saturday on North Blackstone Avenue near Herndon Avenue.

According to Fresno police, the driver of the truck was making a U-turn from northbound Blackstone at East Magill Avenue and misjudged the speed of the motorcycle. Hernandez struck the passenger side of the truck in the No. 2 lane.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was not hurt and remained at the crash, police said, and was cooperative with investigators.

A passenger in the truck also was not injured.
