Fire destroys 4 vehicles in central Fresno complex. What firefighters found
Fresno fire investigators are probing a fire that erupted at a central Fresno apartment complex early Thursday, where four vehicles were destroyed by flames.
Spokesman Jonathan Lopez said the blaze started about 2:30 a.m. near East Dakota and North Harrison avenues at a complex along the Fresno Irrigation District canal.
It was initially reported as a vehicle fire, but multiple cars and a truck were in flames when the trucks rolled up. The fire was upgraded, and more units were called in. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby dwellings just feet away.
The Red Cross was called to assist an adult and two children with housing because of damage to one unit.
