Thanksgiving holiday traffic backed up in Fresno after three-vehicle crash near downtown
Thanksgiving holiday traffic in Fresno was snarled Wednesday afternoon after a three-vehicle collision near downtown.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m. at southbound Highway 99 and the Ventura Street off-ramp.
Traffic was backed up for at least a mile from Clinton Avenue, north on McKinley on Highway 99 to 180, according to the California Highway Patrol call log.
There was one minor injury, according to CHP spokesman Mike Salas.
One lane is open from Ventura, but traffic remains at standstill on the highway. The CHP is diverting traffic on southbound 99 to the Golden State offramp.
Salas estimated all lanes will be open by 5 p.m.
