The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the man who died riding his motorcycle on McKinley Avenue near Temperance Avenue.

Larry Reed, 38, of Sanger was traveling east on McKinley when he collided with a minivan around 1:12 p.m. Saturday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Reed was moving at a high rate of speed when the minivan drove on to the right shoulder of the road and took a U-turn directly into his path. Reed braked but struck the minivan on the driver’s side.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the minivan was uninjured. Drugs or alcohol were not suspected in the crash, the CHP said.

An investigation is ongoing.
