A commercial structure at an agriculture manufacturing company in south Fresno near Highway 99 burned to the ground Sunday afternoon.

According to Battalion Chief Bob Camp, crews were called to the area of Cedar Avenue just south of Central Avenue at about 2 p.m. for reports of a fire inside the structure. Crews arrived and found a well-developed fire inside a metal structure that had spread into an adjacent office trailer.

Fire crews worked quickly to get the fire under control and prevent spread to another building near the company. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Camp said resources took longer to get to this incident due to a second emergency in downtown Fresno, where a rehab facility had caught fire.
